Dick Richardson founded Dick Richardson Company, Inc. in 1921. Printing processes and technology were the same everywhere in those days, but Richardson Company outshined all others with a stronger focus built on customer service. This same dedication to service has been the hallmark of Richardson's performance throughout its nearly 90 years of business.

Jim Barker purchased Richardson Printing from the founding family in 1980 and added many new changes to the company's production procedures. Although the company was under new ownership, the same attitude toward serving customers stayed at the core of the company's efforts.

Incredibly, the company has been named to the list of Kansas City's 100 Fastest Growing Businesses both in 1999 and 2000 in spite of its age. Jim Barker's commitment to service and investment in state-of-the-art equipment has been key to Richardson Printing's growth. As proof the company's commitment to service, Jim Barker has created a Customer Bill of Rights to ensure customer satisfaction for every step of the printing process.
